Wisdom's Eccentric Children by *IUBgrad:iconIUBgrad:

Life eternal:
composed less
of quantity
than quality;
living, moving
existing, creating
engaging, loving
and being
in, through
between, beyond
betwixt, across
and amidst
realms, paradigms
dimensions, vistas
spheres and
worlds
seen
and unseen,
known
and unknown,
imagined
and beyond
imagining;
abiding
in present moment
girded by all
that has been,
acknowledging
all that is,
eyes filled
with light
of the stars
of what will be,
the poetry
of what waits
to be birthed
into existence
tingling
in my ears.
Standing before
the stillness
of constant motion
at nexus of
intersections:
future with past,
actual with ideal,
imagined with known,
the unanticipated
with the experienced,
comprehension
with mystery;
collective spirits
articulate innumerable
distinct compositions,
joining in transcendent
ascension: timeless
boundless harmony,
resonating deeply
in hearts of
wisdom's eccentric
children.

This is a poem which has a lot of meaning to me, but is one which I don't know if many others will enjoy or relate to (and which I suspect some will find too long and rambling). The seed of the idea for this did come to me while I was at my parents' house for the holidays (while I was in bed, actually), but I didn't put it down on paper and start trying to work it out until I got back here. I really like the title, it has a lot of personal significance to me, but don't ask me to explain why.

That is beautiful :) I think it is amazing :) It takes the words from my mouth I don't know what to say it is so beautiful :)

The death of one child is a tragedy, the death of thousands is a statistic.

Tonight time has no hold on us. Tonight we are immortal.

'The old Lie; Dulce et Decorum est Pro patria mori'

My hopes are so high I think your kiss might just kill me
Absolutely beautiful ......very moving!

Thank you, my dear! I should have known that if anyone else would relate to this, you would!
